Our Story
From family care to bridal care
House of Kanya began with two sisters, Aakanksha and Nidhi, raised in a joint family of girls — sisters, cousins, mothers, and women who gathered for every celebration. Weddings were never solo events; they were shared rooms, shared mirrors, shared nervous laughter.
Their mother has lived with paralysis for 33 years. That experience did not teach them jewellery — it taught them devotion: how small acts of care hold a person through the hardest seasons, and how dignity lives in the details others overlook.
Sometimes the love you want for yourself becomes the love you learn to give others. That is the heart of this house. With their father's steady backing, the sisters opened a quiet studio in Sector 40, Gurugram in 2022 — not to sell boxes of jewellery, but to honour brides the way their family had always honoured its women.
Today, brides visit from across Delhi NCR. Others trial here before flying to Goa, Udaipur, Jaipur, Bali, or Malaysia. NRI and overseas brides start on WhatsApp. The studio remains the same: intimate, sister-led, and rooted in care.

Who founded House of Kanya?
House of Kanya was founded by sisters Aakanksha and Nidhi, who grew up in a joint family of women and celebrations in Delhi and have curated bridal jewellery from their Sector 40, Gurugram studio since 2022.
What does the name House of Kanya mean?
Kanya honours every daughter — the bride, the sister, the woman at the centre of the celebration. The house is named for the spirit of Kanyadaan: giving with love, responsibility, family blessings, and care rather than ceremony alone.
Why was House of Kanya started?
Aakanksha and Nidhi built House of Kanya to extend the deep care they learned in their own family — including through their mother's 33-year journey — to other women on their biggest days. The belief is simple: the jewellery may be rented; the feeling should never be.
